Client was indicted in Federal Court in Miami for participating in a medical business that assisted Russian women to come to the United States to give birth to their children. The business was charged with obtaining U.S. passports for the children with forged signatures on the passport applications. The client was found not guilty by the jury on the conspiracy charge which carried the highest advisory sentence under the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. She was also acquitted on two additional counts, resulting in a sentence of 2 years probation. (2018)
